During Awards Nights when the celebrities go about flaunting their gowns, my favorite colors would be red, nude, pastel shades and of course, purple. This year’s Oscars has a scarcity of purple in it so here are three (perhaps only them) — with shades of or close to purple that stood out during the night.
Sarah Hyland dons a flowing Alberta Feretti plum gown which featured a collected bodice ?n? asymmetrical straps. She wore the piece with ease and matched it with a loose, low bun ?n? bronze eye makeup that is simple but elegant.
Maya Rudolph in a cap-sleeved purple gown by Johanna Johnson. The gown has a light mermaid silhouetted skirt and is noticeably beautiful with crystal embroidery at the sleeves, full back and waistline. She polished the look with small earrings and a gorgeous sparkling cuff bracelet, both by Neil Lane. She chose curls as her crowning glory.
Virgina Madsen was one of the bravest that night to wear a vibrant purple one-shouldered asymmetric gown, from designer Kevan Hall. It seems fish tails are being the trend lately though it may seem difficult to move with it she pulled it off perfectly. Virgina wore her curly blonde tresses up in a tousled style, emerald green earrings and a Judith Leiber clutch.
So what color is your best pick?

I hate to sound negative but, that last dress looks totally uninspired. For an event I would want to stand out in a beautifully styled gown.
