Some weeks before opening day, The Avengers assembled at the El Capitan Theater in Hollywood yesterday, April 11 for the official red carpet premier of Marvel Entertainment’s upcoming blockbuster. Among the celebrities at the star studded event were stars Robert Downey Jr. (Ironman), Chris Evans (Captain America), Mark Ruffalo (The Hulk), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Scarlett Johansson(Natasha Romanov/Black Widow), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye),  Tom Hiddleton (Loki) and Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury) and Clark Gregg, to name a few. There were also director Joss Whedon and Marvel comic creator Stan Lee.
