Problems Associated With Big Breasts And When To Consider Female Breast Reduction

December 26, 2012 by Ella 1 Comment

Although most magazines, television shows and other forms of social entertainment portray big breasts as being great assets, they fail to mention and point out the problems associated with them. This means that most women with low self-esteem due to their small breasts become more and more interested in breast augmentation. There are thus an increased number of women with double D’s.

Big breasts are associated with a couple of health problems some which may necessitate the consideration of female breast reduction . The major health problem associated with big and heavy breasts is the pain associated with them. The pain does not seem to fade even if one uses a well-fitting and supportive brassiere. The pain is usually felt on the areas that take the strain the most when supporting the breasts; these include the back, neck and shoulders. These may lead to constant headaches if not attended to.

Another health factor associated with large breasts is nerve problems. This arises when the heaviness of the breasts leads to a change in posture in order to accommodate this weight and thus leads to stretching of the nerves. Finally, the damaged nerves cause tingling, numbness and twitching especially in the arms and hands. This can be quite a nuisance.

Like most intertriginous areas of the body, the region under big breasts is prone to skin problems. This area provides an optimum environment for the growth and progression of infectious organisms. The region is usually sweaty and the rubbing of breast against chest generates a lot of heat the region is thus hard to keep dry. The most common problems include yeast infections and bacterial infections.

Most big breasted women also complain of the inability to participate in sports that require certain movements such as yoga or playing golf. Also a problem is the fact that they have to be really careful when choosing what to wear, this restrictiveness may hamper one from enjoying their life.

Thus, to help reduce these problems, most people are advised to consider breast reduction options. Reduction mammoplasty is the medical term used to refer to breast reduction to fit one’s body mass index.  The procedure
is relatively safe but can have some glitches like all surgical procedures. To reduce these, one should quit smoking and should lose weight before the surgery. The surgery does not however prevent the growth of the breasts due to hormonal processes.

If you have above average breast size, have you ever considered undergoing this process?

Big is not always the best option to have and it is very true when it comes to women’s breasts size. Not all well-endowed women are happy with their size because bigger breasts are accompanied by physical and emotional pains. Hence various breast reduction therapies or breast reduction surgery etc has become very popular with the enhancement of science and technology. Plastic surgery for breast reduction is a great way to solve this problem for many women provided they are taking help from the most efficient medical practitioners.
