Is there an effective way to prevent dandruff? One frustrating thing I encountered now that I am older is hair problems, more particularly scalp issues. I blame it on the change of weather, and probably stronger shampoo concentration, but whichever the reason, dandruff is a problem so common that it can affect anyone. It is usually encountered from young adulthood until middle age.
People who have oily hair and scalp are prone to dandruff. Since men have larger oil producing glands in their scalp, they are more likely to have dandruff than females. A poor diet that is lacking in zinc, vitamin B or certain kinds of fats also contribute to having dandruff. The worst case of dandruff usually occurs during cold months while the condition improves during warm months.
