Here is a simple recipe for an oatmeal mask I tried…there is another recipe for acne but this one is for regular use. (from the How to page)
* Yogurt or buttermilk
* Egg white
* Lemon juice
* Olive oil
2.Combine 1/3 cup of oatmeal with 1/2 cup of hot water and set aside to thicken. In a separate bowl, mix 2 tbsp. plain yogurt, 2 tbsp. honey and 1 egg white. Stir well.
After cleansing face and neck, pat the facial onto the skin with fingertips,avoid the eyes. Leave facial on for 10 to 15 minutes to tighten skin when it dries. Rinse off with warm water and a wash cloth.
3. Chop 1 ripe tomato, including skin and seeds, add to 1 tbsp. oatmeal. Stir in 1 tsp. lemon juice. Put all ingredients in a blender or food processor to make a paste. After cleansing face and neck, smooth facial onto skin, but not the eye area. After 10 minutes, use a wash cloth to remove the facial and then splash with warm water.
4. Mix 1/2 cup cooked oatmeal with 1 egg white and 1 tsp. olive oil. Stir well to combine the egg white. Add a few drops of lemon juice and mix again. On cleansed face and neck, apply the mixture smoothly with fingertips, keeping away from the eyes. Relax for 15 to 30 minutes before removing facial with a wash cloth and rinsing with warm water.
