When I was still a regular gym attendant, I’ d see to it that I visit the infrared sauna room even for 30 minutes a day. Sitting there and idling could be the most vigorous activity I actually had all day. I sweat the most there than when I do some actual training. Outwardly one is relaxed, but the inner organs gets acive active like one is jogging.
There are lots of healthy benefits we gain even from saunas ..it might not be too different from the traditional Finnish sauna. As a matter of fact, it is more comfortable.
The oldest known medical document, the Ayurveda considered sweating so important to people’s health that it prescribed the sweat bath and thirteen other methods of inducing sweat. Physicians throughout time have pushed and recommended the medicinal value of sweat bath in its various forms such as the Finnish sauna, Russian banai, Islamic hammam, or the American Indian sweatlodge. Today, enthusiasts say that apart from getting relaxed, the sauna gives relief from the common cold, arthritis, headaches, hangovers and “just about anything” (read: asthma, sore throat, nose bleed, sunburns, scarring and more)
It is all the more convenient nowadays, one can have a far infrared sauna in the comfort of his own home. Means, relaxation, healthier skin, weight loss and pain relief rolled into one at your reach.
